Pitching an AI startup while simultaneously cheering over a World Cup match is a level of multitasking that they definitely don't teach you in CS school.
I just wrapped up an incredible night at the Cappis x CUTC event, and the energy was unlike anything else. I was incredibly honoured to be selected to demo Cache in my role as a founding engineer.
What is Cache?
At Cache, we are changing the game for fashion resale. We’ve built an AI-powered app and website that markets curated, 1-of-1 used clothes directly from influencers’ closets straight to their followers. It’s about more than just "selling clothes"—it’s about creating a streamlined, tech-driven marketplace for unique style.
Getting to showcase our platform to such an ambitious, forward-thinking crowd of peers was an absolute blast. There is nothing quite like the feeling of showing real-world code to a room full of people who truly understand the work that goes into it.
A Community of Builders
Not only did I get to demo my own work, but I also had the chance to interact with some of the most innovative builders in the city. From teams working on cutting-edge AI to those developing modern firefighter equipment, the breadth of talent was inspiring. It was a great night to trade ideas and see the sheer amount of innovation happening in this community.
A massive shoutout to Daniel Chahine and his team at Reroute for organizing this event. They are definitely a startup to keep your eyes on!
What’s Next?
We are just getting started at Cache. We have some massive new features dropping in the coming weeks that we’ve been working hard on behind the scenes—you won't want to miss what’s coming next. 😉
Want to clear out your closet or scale your brand? We are actively looking for interested sellers to join the movement. If you're an influencer or a curator looking to take your brand to the next level, check out our website and get on board!
